Toye is two wins in two races in Tooele!!!


What a weekend! Jeremy and the S1000RR not only won both races they entered in, but went FOUR seconds faster that he did the last time he was on this track! Miller part 1 turned out to be a great prequel. Weather threatened, but never really became a factor. All we really had to deal with was sweatshirt weather! Jeremy really loved the track and was able to put in some monster miles on Friday.
Good thing because we missed the cutoff for the 6 hour race they were holding on Saturday and didn’t even get to touch the track. So with only Friday practice and two sessions in the morning Sunday it was going to be tuff, but Jody worked his butt off dealing with chatter, braking issues, etc. and gave Jeremy everything he needed to win both races on Sunday!
This was a tall order with talented names like Geoff May, Taylor Knapp, and other AMA regulars in the mix, but the S1000RR and Toye were more than up for it no matter what it took.

His first race (mainly just a warm-up for the afternoon’s premier event) went flawlessly. Jeremy leapt from his spot on the front row and from that point on the rest of the field was just a memory! By the end of the first lap he had a two second gap and never looked back.
Once the Superbike Race started it was time to go toe to toe with Taylor Knapp. After yet another great start Jeremy put his head down and kept motoring. Taylor ended the first lap in 4th and had a lot of work to do to catch the super quick number 57 at the front of the field, but with both riders turning laps in the low 52’s they were the ones who were going to decide the top step of the podium. After the halfway point the number 44 of Knapp had latched onto the back of Toye and was clinging on to his draft down the ¾ mile front straight away at Miller Motorsports Park. On the final corner final lap they were close enough to touch, but the power of the S1000RR pulled a nice gap to the finish! Everybody is talking about how nicely this sets things up for next week at the Lucas Oils Superbike challenge during the World SBK weekend!

“It’s super cold, but pretty good, the thing is without a whole lot of changes, not even gearing, we went out with the Ohlins forks, within the 4th lap I was quicker than with the Honda still with the bike no being to my liking. The bike is just able to get around the track at a good pace. I knew right then we’re in this!
At the end of day Friday we found that the new suspension bits made in house and from AK were a bit help, giving more compliance, and more confidence. On Saturday we didn’t even touch the track on because we we’re too late 6hr.
Sunday we had two races in even colder weather. We started out on B bike for a quick comparison/shakedown, and we’re pleasantly surprised. It was it’s first time ever on the track and already 1.5 faster than the CBR with a stock shock! For the second practice we tried a new set of carbon fiber wheels from BST and bike didn’t have the same feeling. So we rushed around to try and compensate for wheels before F1. The race was good, we went fastest, but still had front end feel issues. Not what we had had two days before in practice.
Superbike was the same, but got off the line worse. It was the power of that S1000RR that took me to turn one first. We got out front and went pretty good, but had brake issues. There were some times where it would have been a pretty good photo being sideways at 170 miles per hour. Anyways we started with a good gap on the first couple laps. Taylor Knapp reeled us in, but couldn’t get up all the way. We have some things to work out before next weekend, but we’ll be ready! It’s pretty amazing that we’re already going this good and the bike isn’t even set up the way I like it yet. I can’t wait to see it’s full potential!”
